The Architecture and Planning Library was established as a separate library within the University Library system in 1927. Professor CR Knight, the first chair in Architecture, donated a collection of his architecture books to form the nucleus of a reference collection, and the library developed from these beginnings.
Several special collections of unique resources about architecture and planning are located in Special Collections, including the Architecture Archive.
